After many months of comparison, I decided to get the 4110. The dealer I'm purchasing this tractor from had to have the tractor shipped in... It's supposed to be delivered to me on Friday... Anywho... I was at the dealership yesterday (Tuesday)and briefly looked the tractor and FEL over... I noticed several large (3/8" x 24")paint scratches on the FEL that had already rusted over... I know things get bumped around in shipping, but that's a bit much for me to swallow. Should I expect the scratches to be fixed before it's delivered to me?
Seems like it's a lot of money for scrathed equipment. I haven't discussed this with the dealership yet... but I'm assuming they'll be fixed.

Scratches seem to be fairly common on this type of equipment. If they're on the bucket I wouldn't worry too much since it will get plenty scratched up in use. There's no harm in asking your dealer to fix them if they bother you and it will give you a good indication of how responsive they are. Either way, you'll probably want to keep a few cans of paint around to fix that kind of stuff since they all get scratched up from time to time. ....

I agree that scrathes on the bucket are not worth worrying about, but the scratches I'm talking about are on the arms and the frame. ....

I took delivery of my 2210 on April 2nd and it too had lots of scratches on the arms and the frame as well as a few gouges. I went back to the dealer and told them and they gave me a can of JD Green paint... It was a b**ch fixing the scratches. While I was at the dealer getting the paint I walk out in looked at the other loaders they had on pallets waiting to be installed and not one of them looked as bad as the one they gave me... I thought at first it may have been a unit that had been sitting around but the date on it said March 16, 2004. So, to save face with the dealer incase I had a major problem later, I decided to let it go... TOM ....

haha... it's here... it's here, and brand, brand new... 0.8hrs, Man what a tractor... makes my 455 look /feel like a toy :)

The dealer took care of the scratches I had mentioned earlier without any input from me... Thank goodness.

I filled the ballast box with approx. 8, 80lb bags of concrete and installed 2 pieces of PVC to hold my shovel and rake. That's a great idea... Thanks to ??????

The hydro seemed awful noisy... I guess it'll quite down a bit with some breaking-in. Also, the reverse pedal is much stiffer in high-range than it is in low-range... kinda weird.

Guys/Gals I cannot thank you enough for all you advice... Man I'm happy :))

4110HST, R4 tires, FROPS, FEL, Frontier RB1060 blade, 2ea 60lb rear wheel weights, and 3PT. ballast box... total bill $14,612.00 ....
